Project Description

This project consisted of both interior and exterior remodel/addition. Construction was phased so the business could stay open while addition was built. The kitchen was later remodeled with limited down time. Features included in this project are a multi-dining room that can be sectioned for smaller groups, two smaller dining areas, one of which has a very unique fireplace, a wine room, bar and many areas for individual dining. Exterior finishes include c.m.u., face, brick, membrane roofing. Also included were site improvements.

Project Description

This $13.7M, 540 space mixed-use parking structure was procured through a two-part design-build competition. Phoenix, AZ based DFDG served as the design architect in collaboration with Schutz Foss Architects to provide design services to the Sletten Construction Design Build team. The project was procured by the City of Billings, with a private development partner agreeing to purchase (condominium style) the 17,000 sf of street level retail area, and 25 parking spaces at the ground level of the garage. In addition, the adjacent Northern Hotel purchased (condominium style) 230 parking spaces for their exclusive use, and funded an enclosed sky-bridge connecting the hotel and parking structure. The remaining 310 parking spaces are for public use, supporting redevelopment of historic Montana Avenue. The retail space, fronting onto Montana Ave. will promote a vibrant and active streetscape and will be a catalyst for ongoing redevelopment of the area. The building is designed as a cast-in-place, post tensioned structure. It is unique in that we designed a 12” two-way “flat-slab” structure for the parking deck immediately above the retail space, to limit vibration and noise transfer. The rigid frame structure requires no shear walls, allowing for clear lines of sight in the pedestrian and parking environment. The project’s architecture is contemporary in form, while utilizing exposed concrete, brick veneer, and galvanized steel in a way that is reminiscent of historic downtown Billings. The architectural materials were selected for their richness, longevity and low-maintenance characteristics.

Project Description

This 9,700 SF sports bar and grill in Dickinson, North Dakota specializes in a variety of martini’s. The restaurant provides for dining in the bar or restaurant areas while the kitchen and restrooms are centrally located to provide maximum efficiency. A private dining space for banquets and parties is provided adjacent to the spacious exterior patio. A custom exterior fireplace has been provided in the exterior patio area.
